What makes you think the US has been/is telling Putin what to do ? Or do you mean like not launching aggressive attacks, invasions and Wars, the biggest in the region since WW2, on sovereign states, being responsible for the deaths of tens/hundreds ? of thousands and causing misery to millions more...on both sides ? Back to the old 'blame the US for everything' are we ? Putin not culpable ? Innocent bystander and victim ? I think time will show Putin's in process of removing himself.....one way or the other eventually....
