Yes, China has been the major winner in this war. However there are now signs China want to get the war shut down. I suspect they have been having negotiations with the US regarding ending the war. One can only speculate on the various carrots and sticks being offered and wielded by each side and the potential political and strategic gains and losses for each party, especially in terms of how the peace may be achieved and viewed by both their domestic audiences and other players around the world.
