Russia has been taking ground last year. And as a result of a full year (2023), it gained more that Ukraine did according to NYT.

This year, the Ukrainian army has been losing ground non stop, every single day.

I'm not sure why you think your "snail pace" narrative is so important. Because it is not. But I guess it's just another case of straw-clutching, in the absence of any real AFU progress on the battlefield.
