Their 'counter-offensive' effectively began on the 24th February 2022. You're obviously not too keen on focussing on Ukrainian success in those areas where they've been very successful. The more recent planned intensification of that which you keep trying to make such a big deal of was one where some peoples expectations were obviously set too high. So what ? It's a War and Wars are unpredictable and subject to misjudgements, strategic errors and a whole host of variables and factors. Just ask the invading Russian War Monger himself who I'll bet never in a million years expected he would have suffered and inflicted the hideous losses he has and yet still be bogged down in a bloody nightmare over 2 years later with no end in sight having achieved none of his objectives just to stroke his ego and pretend he was the 21st Century version of Tsar Peter the Great.... NATO expansion etc....big own goal that one wasn't it. All the hysteria here over NATO expansion and borders with his so called Federation as justification for his War on Ukraine makes one wonder when he's going to invade Finland if you believe all the nonsense he and his mouthpieces spewed and was and is repeated here ad infinitum. He must look back on the Soviet losses suffered in the almost decade long Soviet adventure in Afghanistan and turn green with envy. I'd wager there are increasing numbers of bereaved Russian citizens getting a bit impatient with him and his War on Ukraine.
