No doubt all Western based nutjobs looking for legitimacy will be attracted to those embedded battalions with their domestic Govt "blessings". If you listen to the Canadian SF using the 'we don't vet Ukie' to train and arm them, low discouragement will indicate passive acceptance of ANY help for swelling the volunteer numbers. Compare Nazis passive tolerance to ISIS volunteers among these Western Govt and you see the contradictions, ends always justify the means. I haven't see such hypocrisy for sometime but this is the state of play in a unipolar opinion war to mould the consensus.
