The thing is, the whole thing was a farce. They made up this whole "removal" procedure. Although some media outlets tried to present it as "impeachment".
In reality, Rada issued a piece of paper, which basically said that Yanukovich is removed from power based on however many votes. That's it.
All constitutional procedures for removing a president legally were omitted.
The wider Ukrainian population never got a say on the topic, which is not democratic to say the least.
The whole thing is illegal. Alleged abandonment is not even a factor, which is what Andy is trying to argue, lol. If he stayed in Ukraine, he would have had the same fate as Qaddaffi.
