As I said I'm not infallible but I don't see it as a big fail by me anyway . Not like imagining rusisa are justified in attacking Ukraine and annexing their lands and thinking that the best way to end this war is not for russia to desist but for Ukraine to accept putins demands -conditions .
As to the latter .....putin has said several times in the last half year .....no negotiations ! One condition that I forgot to mention in my earlier post was Ukraine agreeing never to seek western aid against russia . You DO understand from the demands ....this and the demilitarisation ....that putin wants Ukraine totally controlled by russia ? These btw were part of the conditions too in March 2022 negotiations and why Ukraine couldn't agree . Effectively the end of Ukrainian sovereignty .
