russia has an insatiable appetite for sacrifice for the glory of the Russian Empire, 7 million dead soldiers from attacking Austria WW1, 20 million lives wasted by not accepting peace by surrendering to Germany in WW2 (yet they call on Ukraine to surrender to save lives)
