The Ukrainian government keeps raising the bar on abusing the rights of it's own citizens.

According to the new Ukrainian law, which came into force today, people with alcohol and drug addiction will be subject to mobilization.

This was announced by Alexander Pavlichenko, the executive director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Union.

"Individuals with various types of dependencies, such as alcohol, drugs, or any other dependency, are recognized as fit or temporarily fit for non-combat formations. This includes support services, logistical support, and even medical assistance," Pavlichenko said.
