That would be YOUR opinion that it is a suicidal position to hold.
The fact that not only has Ukraine managed a river crossing to create it, hold it and expand it says your opinion would be wrong.
Just keep ignoring the colossal dead Russians and the massive equipment losses it takes to advance a couple of sq km's. French estimates have over 150k dead Russian troops, for perspective that is more than all the US dead in every single US war since WW2.
Next up: Even more Russian dead for tiny tiny territory gains.
