Verifiable confirmation is very difficult. Especially in a country like Russia where not everyone is accounted for or detailed records not being kept to be able to determine the status of each individual. Not all deaths notices are published in every instance in every remote region of Russia with photo identification to confirm, not every family posts on the internet of their loss, not all Russian bodies have been recovered, not all dead Russian troops are listed as KIA instantly, there simply are a lot of dead Russian troops unaccounted for. Not that Russian authorities care about how many dead troops they have,

Anyway, over 52k dead in a bit over 2 years is not the victory you think it is.
