27th February 2024: Macron did not rule out the possibility of NATO troops being deployed to Ukraine, but added that "consensus has not yet been reached";
February 29th: he stated that he weighed, considered, and measured every word when discussing the deployment of troops to Ukraine;
March 4th: Macron said that France would not be sending troops to Ukraine in the near future;
March 8th: "Not excluding something does not mean doing it";
March 14th: France will never take the initiative in military actions in Ukraine;
May 2nd: France may send its troops to Ukraine at the request of Kiev in case of a breakthrough in the Russian Armed Forces frontline;
May 6th: France is not at war with either Russia or the Russian people.
