The proposal hinted that the Foreign Legion would take up positions along the Belarus border thus freeing some Ukraine forces to more active areas.

The Legion would not likely find itself at the zero line unless Lukashenko was stupid enough to attack Ukraine......which he wouldn't if the Legion held defensive positions behind the mine fields and other obstacles.
