The US has shown itself great at producing overpriced weapons programs that line congressmen and defence contractor pockets such as the F35 fighter program or giant aircraft carriers that are rapidly becoming obsolete in the face of new missle tech however it's decimated domestic manufacturing base is hopelessly inept at producing the basics of war such as artillery shells.
Pretty embarrassing that the Russian defence industry is dominating NATO in munitions production.
