- What does this prove that several gov buildings, months into the protest were occupied in western Ukraine months into the protests against Yanukovych’s poor decisions many of which had been made by this point?
- The same poor decisions that led to his voluntary abandonment of the presidency and fleeing Ukraine meaning it was no coup.

2. Yanukovych’s security forces only abandoned their positions AFTER finding out Yanukovych had abandoned Kijev. - wrong ( see attached)
- Security services abandoned positions AFTER Yanukovych signed his deal with the opposition, then Yanukovych DISAPPEARED.
- As can be seen in the screen shot from the same wiki page that security services began abandoning positions en masse THE MORNING AFTER.
- Security services abandoning their positions was not part of the opposition deal, so why did the security services leave?
- The security services knew Yanukovych was abandoning Kyiv along with them based on the opposition deal agreed on and Yanukovych no longer being contactable nor informing his whereabouts, and so the security services FOLLOWED suit.
- The protestors could only take control AFTER security services left, they did not overrun security services as you misleadingly imply.
- So no, I am correct that the protestors were only able to occupy government buildings in Kyiv because Yanukovych’s security services took the lead from Yanukovych and abandoned Kyiv.
