I can’t begin to imagine where we would all be without western democracy, legal frameworks and rights.
Had Hitler succeeded … were Iran to have a nuclear bomb … were Russia to annexe Ukraine and and then lift it’s gaze … were Xi to conquer Taiwan and then lift his gaze … were Kim Jong Un to feel emboldened to launch an attack to the south … were other wannabe dictators encouraged?
How is life in western democracy countries improved by the above events if successful?
Do you really see a calm global future with a range of disparate dictators and expansionist actor states vying for dominance?
What are you prepared to advocate we all give up to allow these events to succeed?
