You are missing the point. When one’s country is attacked, you do not chase, threaten, hijack, penalize, remove certain civil liberties if refusing to fight, remove consular protection if overseas, withheld medical care etc. People volunteer to defend their country. Millions of Ukrainians don’t want to. Why? The Ukrainians are not stupid people, and they know that this madness has gone to far and that whole mess is not as black and white as what you would like it to be.
Now, if all members of Rada, ministers and officials led by Z said they were going to Donbas to fight the invaders, maybe, just maybe such draconian laws would not be needed.
