2. russia really can't affpord to take on NATO directly - could only be a lose - lose scenario at best for russia
russia has no real right to Kaliningrad - it was kept after ww2 for strategic reasons , no russ lived there
Transnistria is part of Moldova .
These are a couple of things russia could lose .
NATO will not allow Ukraine to be overun by russia .
