Sadly I agree - it is a war of attrition and it's been self-fuelling for some time now. Russia are happy to draw in the Ukrainian forces and either destroy them or have them surrender - it is part of their demilitarisation strategy and it's working perfectly it seems.....the stupidity of the US & EU grubs who control this needless slaughter of Ukrainians is astounding
