there is no such thing as a " neutral Ukraine " possible russia insists on making their foreign policy decisions for them - as with all their neighbours neighbours like Georgia and Belarus both victims of russ interference and control .
russia chose west not because they are in love with the west .....but simply to get free of russian control and to get security
we aren't dumb or indoctrinated ..... we just believe all countries have the right to choose and not be bullied by russia
perhaps you are also forgetting what putin himself admitted.....after comparing himself to the conquerer Peter the great "......it has fakllen to us to TAKE BACK what (he believed) belongs to russia " this war is a war of conquest by russia as a way to exapnd the empire and there can be no excuse for it at all !
