I think I was being clear .....the west could easily blockade Kaliningrad if needed ---- if for instance russia crossed red lines
a message is being sent to russia....bargaining chips and implicit threats are not the sole preserve of russia alone

Kaliningrrad (Konigsberg) was never russian btw, was always German through history ..... another thing the USSR stole after WW2 , like the Baltic states .
putin has made it clear he is dedicated to re-inventing the russian empire(which was wht the USSR + IRON CURTAIN WERE) ................you are silent on this ..... too unsubtle I imagine to admit to sympathy for that
