How can it be that it is only Ukraine is taking any steps toward peace and Putin is saying they will continue until all of their objectives are accomplished but it's Ukraine who is the roadblock to peace?
It's you bizarre terminology coming to the fore again. Like the aggressor will "retaliate" because the victim is defending themselves. Not to mention your "negotiation" demand that Ukraine negotiate peace on no terms acceptable to them.
