Contrary to what you read in Putin propaganda,Chechnya has its unique language and culture same as Ukraine and existed before Russia came to exist as a nation in 1535. No one can help you if you think NATO need an enemy to fight on, you seems lost in Russian propaganda jungle.
NATO is a collection of democratically elected nations for defense and hegemony cannot dictate its decisions. However, NATO has interfered and promoted uprising's against dictatorial and autocratic nations and on few occasions excessively as she had to deal with external interference. I am sure she has learnt from mistakes might not repeat them going forward as its decision making apparatus become more democratic . However, NATO has not attacked another nation to grab land and its wealth as Russia does in Ukraine.
