Yep. NATO was not interested in the 'land grab' as some posters call it. They literally took a part of a sovereign country and gave it to the terrorist group. The outcome is the same as if NATO decided to take that part of a sovereign country for themselves (land grab). The territory of a sovereign country is removed from its nationally recognised borders. Unbelievable precedent with direct consequences to what has been going on in Ukraine since 2014.
