is that why US imposed restriction on the ise of weapons all this time ......still have restrictions ?? No - just doesn't stand scrutiny ......US has been careful NOT to push too hard ....if they had there'd be boots on the ground already .
US don't want it ......Europe don't want it .......russia doesn't want it and could never handle it !
Incremental certainly is correct ......but no freedoms given to Ukraine that russia haven't already had - still less .....no advantage given to Ukraine over russia .....for instance F-16's will help ....they won't give air superiority or clsoe to it . You can call iot escalatry if you chjoose but no more so thjan many things russia have done .
This silly idea of telling the west ....."just get out of the road and let us win" or making threats that can't be followed up on won't cut it anymore . If putin wants to negotiate ....the west may be open to that but needs to be more than stating a list of ridiculous demands - needs to be a preparedness to give some ground .
the only equaity here is with nukes .....then the devil is in the detail with air defence and delivery systems but still my understanding - NO WINNERS in a nuke war
