My post was specifically in response to a poster over the influence of the US arms industry lobby on US Govt policy etc and comparisons to the Russian equivalent etc.
I suppose the big question you raise is whether he really is acting in the Russian national interest ?
I expect there's probably significant and maybe growing numbers of Russian citizens who might think not despite the propaganda, mis/disinformation, oppression of dissent and control of the media I've heard about ?
I agree with your last sentence but I'm sure there might be a few here incandescent with rage over its content who not too long ago were here wildly waving about results of Putin's last landslide election result and holding it up as proof of a flourishing democracy.
