that last post of mine was actualy supposed to be a reply to this post
but to expand on that one point ......do you see the problem with trusting russia with any peace deal ?
Back in 2022 some of putins conditions were a tiny Ukrainian army and an agreement by Ukraine ot to seek any western alliance ......clearly left Ukraine defenceless and vulnerable to putins will .....virtual control of Ukraine by russia as any deviation from what putin wanted could enforced militarily or simply the threat of it .
Apart from that ....russia has ignored treaties previously and this invasion is the second attempt ....no basis for trust .
I believe any agreement needs western peacekeepers to enforce it for it to have any credibility . There is no puting the egg back together .....Ukraine can never be mates with russia again after this !
