The US despite attempts to curtail China's economic growth is a tacit admission
that economics trumps politics and even military power over time.

This Ukraine war and its outcome to date indicate that the US is no longer the caller of global economic
or military shots: economic sanctions on Russia led by the USA simply
conforms that the world is dividing into 2 blocks...as GW Bush said:..... those who are with is and those
    who are 'agin" us.

The passing out of the G7 GDP (PPP) by the BRICS last year is an economic shot across the US bow
. and, in the longer term, the US stymie of Chinese economic growth (the economic engine of the BRICS)
is more important to the USA than the current Ukraine War in order to preserve what's left of the Global Rules Based
Order devised by the USA immediately post WW2 and to the US benefit.

"As a recent vivid example, when the U.S.-led group introduced economic sanctions on Russia in 2022, very few countries outside the core alliance joined. As a result, Russia had little trouble shifting its trade to countries outside the U.S.-led alliance." (J Sachs..see below)
