    On the last point the 20th century cold war analogy is in reverse this time around, BRICS is the free trade group which is growing.

    The USA is using sanctions and tariffs and has expensive wars in distant lands and a dangerous exponential debt currently with a trillion dollars of new debt every 100 days....the USA is much like the USSR in the late 80s in that regard. Can it afford hegemony?
