It's only one of the flimsy pretexts Putin's used to justify what he's done in Ukraine.....you know all the others as well as anyone. That's all a smokescreen I think. I think you only have to read his so called "Essay/Manifesto" from July 2021 or what he said (questioning the legitimacy of Ukraine's statehood) a few days before he yelled "Fire" and rolled his attacking tanks across the border proper to understand what drives him and why he did it. I think you've been hoodwinked.
