Vladimir Putin just concluded what appears to be a major speech with Sergey Lavrov at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlying Russia's conditions for concluding peace in Ukraine.
1. Withdrawal of Ukrainian troops completely from Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporozhye regions and recognition of them as part of Russia
2. Ukraine's commitment not to join NATO
3. Ukraine's status as neutral, non-aligned, and nuclear-free
4. Demilitarization based on the Istanbul Agreements
5. Protection of rights of ethnic Russians in Ukraine
Rejection of these conditions will ascribe responsibility for the war's prolonging on the West
