The conflict is the result of territorial dispute which resulted in Russia invading Ukraine as you stated. Why did Russia invade the area? Secure access to black sea, fear of a border with NATO where none previously existed, Ukraine being great agricultural. No one will deny Russia made the first move. Just read up on the economics and political history in international relations in the area and you will understand instead of claiming we are indoctrinated.
