    The common denominator in all invasions and destructions of sovereign countries since 1999 is NATO. Russia has always opposed the NATO expansion, but of course it could not do anything to stop it. They did tell the gathering in Bucharest in 2008, they would prevent the NATO expansion into Georgia and Ukraine.

    Bush called it a bluff. The rest is history.
