.....just to flesh this out a bit ......the comparison is with nazi Germany ......how much should we blame the German people and how much hitler ?
clearly hitler takes the highest level of blame ....but the German people of the time were complicit and allowed it .

Current russian aggression I see as very very similar and the russian people must bear some blame for it .
