    They were anticipating the majority of Ukrainians would simply fold and come out bearing flowers, chocolates and Russian flags, that the Ukrainian army would not significantly fight back (note their initial appeals to the army to ignore the President and lay down their arms), the West would roll over and let Poots lick their collective tummies and the Ukraine would safely be under their control within a very short period.

    And boy did Poots and his military geniuses get the above wrong, in every way.

    Oh by the way, if they didn't want to target civilians how is it that the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights verified a total of 30,457 civilian casualties during Russia's invasion of Ukraine as of February 15, 2024, with over 10,000 being killed by Russia?

    Interesting that you would chose to highlight only a "strike on one of the train stations recently occurred during the night, and only one civilian was injured by glass" and ignore every other attack that doesn't suit your narrative.
