The bottom line is that given the war to date, more war is not the answer.
And more likely than not and as this war 'progresses" (at present is more of a stalemate)
it will become more costly for the Ukraine (USA) to negotiate .

For example the deal reached by the Ukraine/Russian negotiations in March/April 2022
(until Boris put a US spanner in the works) was much better than the Ukraine could possibly hope for today
