Germany has granted asylum to the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra❗️

The Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, with two-thirds of its members being men of mobilization age, left Ukraine in 2022 to participate in a festival but never returned.
Last year, most of the orchestra's concerts took place in cities in Germany.

And now, the Orchestra - 73 people along with their musical instruments - will stay in Germany for 3 years. The authorities of Monheim am Rhein and North Rhine-Westphalia have provided housing for orchestra members and their families (130) for 3 years.

Under the leadership of Alexander Zaitsev, the orchestra has an excellent reputation and a vast repertoire, which is why they have already been invited to work with a German company organizing cultural events. Regular concerts, masterclasses, and joint projects with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra are planned.

Due to the tightening of mobilization laws, lack of protection, inability to travel abroad, and the prospect of ending up in Ukraine's trenches, Ukraine is losing a talented musical ensemble❗️

The Germans are very pragmatic; they are not inclined to send other Ukrainian refugees back to Ukraine. They provide benefits, language courses, medical services, and all sorts of adaptations to help around 1.25 million Ukrainians integrate into their society
