Russia Ukraine war, page-227353

Poland has closed its borders for Ukrainian trucks without permission for international freight transportation or an ECMT (European Conference of Ministers of Transport) permit, as reported by the Ukrainian Customs Service.

Even though earlier Ukraine and the European Commission extended the "transport visa-free regime" for a year, with the possibility of automatic extension until the end of 2025. This Agreement allows for freight truck transportation between Ukraine and the EU without special permits. However, Ukrainian companies must have licenses for these transports and special truck markings.

This move by the Poles aims to protect their own and European long-haul drivers. This "transport visa-free regime" was one of the reasons for protests by long-haul drivers in the EU.

Such is the "support and solidarity" and "integration into the EU's economic space" from European partners.
