Putin sending female prisoners, tricking foreigners into war, forcing already crippled war vets into assaults in Chinese golf carts or on motorbikes, exactly what a country with unlimited resources and manpower would do. Putin is of course "holding back" and this is exactly what he expected to be happening on day 860 of his 3 day war.
