As far as Russia being a capitalist country is concerned, Russia is a country where a chosen few capitalists have been allowed to plunder the country to prosper at the expense of Russian citizens. Putin actually saw to it that some capitalists who had built their own highly successful companies lost those companies and had to flee abroad to successfully start all over again. Russia is as corrupt a country as you can get.

As for WW2, Hitler made his 2nd biggest mistake (the biggest one was starting the war) when he invaded the Soviet Union. Germany was always going to eventually lose the war, but its defeat in the USSR helped to bring the war to an end earlier than otherwise would have been the case.

Yes that happens in every single capitalist country, it's how the system operates.
But most capitalist countries, like Russia, are not imperialist countries.
The US, UK, Germany, and France are imperialist countries, and Russia is the prize.
