It is difficult to verify at times if the vehicle was destroyed or damaged and returned to service, the footage isnt always zoomed in and can't always be directly confirmed. Post battle review often is simply not available

I saw a video recently where the smoke generator was activated in the exhaust of an armoured vehicle to make targeting by the opposition more difficult and the commentator wrongly assumed it to be on fire and so the vehicle had minor damage but was claimed destroyed in the video.
