most wars are NOT decided by negotiation in fact .....and the ones that are were pretty much forceds to it
this war has a way to go yet .....and if the west stick to their aid for Ukraine it's inwinnable for putin becuse his reserves of his depleted reserves and the difficulty getting troops .
but negotiations aren't being encouraged by putin ....he said at Christmas ...."peace will come when we acheive our objectives" .....putin is interested in surrender - not negotiation .....or he wouldn't have made those ridiculous preconditions for a ceasefire .
If it was Polands territory your story would be totally different .
