I said '2014 border'. Consider it within the context of the current year, and it should make sense.
Giving up some of the areas you've not controlled in 10 years anyway is an option. Zelenskyy is pretty clear on it though:

Makes me wonder what the point of the 2023 Counteroffensive was. I thought it was to get into a better negotiating position, but it failed, and yet they maintain their position. As though the 'No negotiation till Crimea" attitude never existed.
Maybe the Ukrainians can just go home and the politicians can sort it out in Switzerland with the same demands anyway (~). [If reality on the ground means nothing, why waste your people trying to maintain it?]
