Hi Max. Based on the evidence publicly available, it is highly unlikely that the Kh -101 missile hit the hospital. The damage to the building is not consistent with the payload of the missile. The target was, as it was a few times before the Artemov missile plant, some 2 km away. According to the Russians all the missiles hit the intended targets and Ukraine is saying that they heave destroyed 30 out of 38 missiles ( happy to be corrected there). What happened with the other 8? If the air defense missiles missed them, they ended up somewhere.

Considering that such an important military target exists in the city, there would be the air defence systems placed nearby for its protection.

The possibility ( it has happened to the Ukrainians and the Russians before) that an air defence missile missed the target and almost vertically landed on the building is there. The other Russian missile that descends on the target vertically in other to avoid detection is Iskander, but the Ukrainians saying that it was not used.

It is a horrible tragedy, but without an independent investigation, the world will never know what really happened.
