There's a couple of gaping holes I can see in what you've said.
"According to the Russians....."....why on earth would you believe what they/the Kremlin says ? Maybe there's even a hint in what you've said....The Russians say all the missiles hit the intended targets yet Ukraine says 30 of the 38 were intercepted. Multiple missiles launched on the same targets perhaps if what the Russians claim is true ?
You don't believe the Ukrainians obviously....why would you believe the Kremlin ?
You don't know that any Ukrainian air defense missiles were launched at the 8 missiles which allegedly got through so drawing the conclusion that it was a Ukrainian air defense missile because 8 of Putin's missiles got through just doesn't necessarily float.......perhaps the reason they got through was because the Ukrainian air defenses were overwhelmed ?.....that would fit perfectly well with what Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian Military Commanders have been screaming for ages over the inadequacy of their air defense capability don't you think ?....
In spite of those issues the underlying fact is Putin launched a significant missile attack on various locations at that time and even in the (unlikely?) event it was a Ukrainian air defense missile which went awry it wouldn't have occurred had Putin not launched another of his gutless and filthy attacks over densely populated civilian areas hundreds of kilometres from the front lines-another War Crime to add to his long and growing list ? So whichever way you cut it he's responsible.
But of course you'll continue to go in to bat for him come hell or high water no matter the uncertainty, fog of War and evidence available as you've done from the outset.
