We are in this war in Ukraine because of the arrogance and greed of America. It was a war we did not have to have and it was deliberately provoked by America/NATO/EU/UK going back at least 1997 (see the clip) when Russia told them don't do this, but of course you can never talk reason to a bully.



Oh and if you dont agree but are still willing to entertain the possibility that you might be incorrect I offer these observations. In 2022/2023 (I can't remember which), the PM, Scott Morrison, at the same time he announced that Aust was sending military aid to Ukraine to fight evil Russia, he announced to China that if it tried to establish a naval base in the Soloman Islands, we would regard it as a threat to Australia AND that China would be crossing a "red line". Within a few hours Tony "Ribbontrop" Blinken came out saying that USA fully supported Australia's position.

A "red line", what does that mean? They are words that the Russians have been using since 1997. If you cross that line we will have to take action.

The Soloman Islands are over 3000 ks from Australia but Australia felt so threatened for its security by such an act that it gave that warning; "Dont do it China or we will have to act. Ukraine and Georgia are right on Russia's border. But no, the world has to be alive to America/Australia's security concerns but hey, if we want to trample over everyone else's security concerns, well that's too bad for them.

Two more points. Russia has been appeasing the West over this since 1997. Count the years, that's 27 years of appeasement. A month before Russia invaded in 2022 they made one last ditched effort for peace and again requested assurances that the USA/NATO would not expand into Ukraine. And Tony "Ribbontrop" Blinken's reply was "there is no change, there will be no change". They knew they were risking WW3 but the rest of the world can go hang. We're America, nobody tells us we cant have what we want. Second point. Next time you hear yourself saying "Oh but NATO is a defensive alliance". OK, what's good for the goose. When China sets up a naval base in the Solomons, just remember China and the Solomons are a defensive alliance and you have nothing to worry about.
