OK , I hear what you are saying but
NATO expansion is more complex, IMO..

Now here's a peace deal:

That Russia withdraws from the Ukraine
provided that the US does not object to
Russia reversing the Cuban Crisis and
basing its WMDs there.
AND that the US does not object to either
Russia or China basing WMDs in Venezuela
or other South American/Central American/Caribean
countries...in short rescind the Monroe Docterine

As such and over time both the US & China-Russia
would have WMDs based close to one another
to enable 1st strike capabilities.

Its called reflexivity..or "what's good for the goose, is good for the gander"
