I missed the offensive against Kharkiv in May, how many hundreds of thousands of men were in that battle?
Nothing about it on the news. All I saw was an opportunistic move across the border by Russian forces where the defences were bungled by Ukraine corruption. The stated goal at the time was to get Belgorod out of range of the Vampire MLRS and divert Ukraine forces from Donbass. They appear to use the same creeping heavy barrage and small advances tactics with relatively low numbers of troops - perhaps 20,000 across 3 salients tying up a large number of Ukraine reserves forces of 50,000..
