That is quite the coping strategy.
In a full year in 2023 of Russia throwing all they have at Ukraine all they could capture 520km2 despite colossal losses. I would say Putin is insane to keep going, but he cares even less about Russian lives than you do, so wasting hundreds of thousands more Russian lives for nothing is nothing to either of you.
But I am sure the Russians are constantly talking about ceasefires and negotiations because they're winning so much, like all winning sides do when they're winning so much, they stop winning for the other side.
