I cant agree with the implication in your first paragraph, that if Russia's temptation to use nuclear weapons is eliminated we're unlikely to see a nuclear war sparked there. What you disregard with no basis is the likelihood that the USA/NATO/EU/UK/Ukraine are the more likely to be the first to launch a nuclear strike. All the evidence points to them being the most likely to use nuclear weapons first. (1) The only country on earth to ever use nuclear weapons in war, TWICE, and against 2 civilian populations. Oh that's right America (2) The countries that have been progressively escalating the Ukraine war as it becomes increasingly obvious that they are losing; Oh thats right, the USA/NATO/EU/UK/Ukraine. Let's not forget they told us at the start that they would only provide helmets and food. Now its long-range missiles, F16s and NATO troops pretending to be volunteers (3) Which countries have been the most reckless in courting nuclear war in blind selfish pursuit of their interests; Oh that's right, the USA/NATO/EU/UK/Ukraine. They knew they were risking nuclear war when they said they would admit Ukraine/Georgia into NATO; when they orchestrated a coup to install their puppet govt in Ukraine; They knew they were putting Russia in a position they would never accept for themselves but recklessly risked nuclear war anyway (4) the more the USA/NATO/EU/UK/Ukraine realise they are losing the war the more desperate they become and the more willing they are to resort to a pre-emptive nuclear strike. Why? Because they see themselves as superior and they cant bear the thought of losing to Russia and would rather see the world incinerated than suffer that humiliation.

The USA/NATO/EU/UK/Ukraine are very dangerous at the moment because they're desperate not to lose. We see it in the way they have increasingly ramped up their language. The Estonian PM and now chief EU diplomat tells us that she wants to dismember Russia AND the Polish foreign minister says the West worries too much about escalating and should just go all in. Those in power in the USA/NATO/EU/UK/Ukraine at the moment are savage wounded lunatics who will gladly push the button first to avoid losing the war they're about to lose.
